Duntaw 9 is a 6 bedroom holiday villa situated in Constantia, the upmarket residential area associated with a number of world-class wine estates in Cape Town and the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens. The house is on the mountain side at the top of the Constantia Valley and is surrounded by a wonderful large garden of gently rolling lawns, flower beds and large shady trees – the outdoor areas of the home offers lots of fabulous space – ideal for families with children needing safe & relaxed areas to run around in, play games, and burn up all that energy – whilst parents soak up the summer sunshine next to the swimming pool or under the covered terrace. Dominated by vineyards and farmland, Constantia sits in one of the greenest, leafiest parts of Cape Town. In Constantia you still find a number of green belts for hiking, stretching your legs or walking the dog. This residential suburb is heavily protected by its own residents who’s ratepayers organisation is very active. Many sections of Constantia lie close to the first wineries that make up the oldest wine routes in the Western Cape.

It includes the cellars of Groot Constantia, Simon van der Stell’s first farm, that offers up its gardens for picnics – a favourite weekend trip for visitors and locals, Buitenverwachting, Klein Constantia, Uitsig and Steenberg. Constantia is only 20 minutes from the heart Cape Town and yet there’s little reason to leave.

There are many walks and hikes including the popular Alphen trail close to the Alphen Hotel as well as the Sillery walk across the Spaanschemacht River. The Tokai woods can also be popular with mountain bikers as well as the Arboretum that is a wonderful place for tea. The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is nearby, the beaches of False Bay are just a quick drive away and Cape Town is just a fast excursion over the M3.
