It has been widely mentioned to holiday visitors that experiencing all 4 seasons in one day is not uncommon in Cape Town and on a foggy day this fact is only amplified in Green Point. The nostalgic echoes of the fog horns leading the boats safely into the harbour are a friendly reminder that the hustle and bustle of this city never stops. It is easy to see… and hear why Moaning Minnie, as this area is affectionately known has such a tight hold on all those who live and visit here. Walk along the rolling seafront and look out over Table Bay and Robben Island and make sure to stop by the famous red-and-white candy-striped Lighthouse. Built in 1824, this is the oldest working lighthouse in South Africa and one hole down you will find the outdoor mini-golf course on the Moullie point promenade. An inexpensive way to watch the sunset, have fun while doing it and the views are par none. Greenpoint is perfectly situated.
